Situated just a two-day trek from the base, Laila Peak (6096m) is considered one of the most beautiful peaks in the Karakoram range. This stunning 6,000-meter peak is unique in both its beauty and the challenge it presents to climbers. It offers a panoramic view and stands at the foot of Gondogoro La, leading towards Hushe. Laila Peak is one of the most remarkable mountains in Pakistan – if not the world – with its summit forming a perfect needle shape. The peak is most famous for its west face, which drops at a near-uniform gradient, forming a massive ramp. Its northern and eastern sides feature steep granite walls. The mountain is located east of Gondogoro Valley and west of Chogolisa Valley, in the Masherbrum Mountains of Baltistan. Most people first catch sight of Laila Peak after crossing Gondogoro La, having trekked from Concordia and K2 Base Camp.
